Arizona Legislature Forms the Blue Ribbon Transportation Committee

Friends,

As you may have heard or read about, the Arizona State Legislature has formed a Blue Ribbon Transportation Committee. Their purpose is to:

(1) review all reports it receives relating to the transportation framework in this State;
(2) make recommendations on which legislative issues relating to transportation should be addressed in the next legislative session. The Committee shall submit a report regarding the Committee's activities and recommendations for legislative action on or before November 30, 2007 to the Governor, President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives and provide a copy of the report to the Secretary of State and the Director of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records.

Below is an agenda of their next meeting. While they will not be taking
public testimony, this will still be a great place to learn more about
transportation matters and hear different points of view. Ultimately,
this committee will be submitting a report and making recommendations
for legislative action. This is something you might want to put on your “radar screen. We will try our best to keep you informed about this committee and their
action/inaction and how it relates to all modes of transportation. You might also want to check the following link from time to time as well.
